Why They're Part of This

They're an independent, locally rooted practice — the kind that stays in the neighborhood instead of getting bought up and changed by a corporation — and that same neighborly instinct is why they stood behind this cause. Sponsoring the Photo Wall was their way of showing up for Eye Spy Foundation and Leader Dogs for the Blind, the same way they've shown up for St. Johns County families for years.

What They Do

Smith Eye Associates is a proudly independent optometry practice at 120 A1A N #101 in Ponte Vedra Beach, continuing a legacy built by Drs. Wood, Lanier, and Bowman, formerly known as Bowman Optometry. Today the practice is home to Dr. William "Will" Smith, Dr. Stephen Pullen, Dr. Brett O'Connor, and Dr. Dawson Hey, who handle a wide range of specialties — including pediatric patients — with advanced technology.

Services include comprehensive eye exams, custom contact lenses, myopia management, dry eye treatment, and spectacle lenses. The practice also curates one of the most fashion-forward eyewear collections around, with unique, quality frames rather than whatever's standard.
